Aug 7, 2026

SOLUM announced that it is expanding its power infrastructure business for AI data centers and has begun developing high-voltage power solutions.

💡 AI Summary

  • SOLUM expands into AI data center power solutions with 800Vdc HVDC technology.

To address growing power demand at data centers driven by the rapid adoption of generative AI, SOLUM is developing an 800Vdc high-voltage direct current (HVDC)-based DC-DC converter. The company plans to leverage this product to enter the supply chain of global hyperscale data center operators.

The converter under development features a high capacity of 26kW. It is designed to meet the high-density power requirements of AI server racks, with mass production and start of production (SOP) targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

A company representative said, “As AI infrastructure expands, data center power architectures are showing a trend toward high-voltage direct current systems. In line with this trend, we are continuously strengthening our capabilities in high-voltage power solutions.”

The company’s core Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) business also continues to grow. According to SOLUM, its ESL business recorded more than 40% year-over-year growth in the first quarter of this year and has secured a foundation for further growth through the acquisition of large-scale projects.

SOLUM is strengthening its mid- to long-term business portfolio by expanding both its AI data center power business and its ESL business. The company’s strategy is to secure new growth drivers by simultaneously advancing its new business based on high-voltage power conversion technologies and its ESL business targeting the global retail market.
